Koiner Farm is located within walking distance of three MCPS schools, including East Silver Spring Elementary, Sligo Creek Elementary and Silver Spring International Middle .  Students from nearby schools enjoy strolling over to Koiner Farm for an afternoon of writing in science journals, helping their local farmer with his farm duties, enjoying a farm fresh snack, observing bees at work, harvesting fresh produce, saving seeds, turning compost piles, finding hidden treasures and more.

In addition to neighborhood schools, small groups of campers, scouts, home-schoolers and others are warmly invited to come and explore our beautiful farm.

Our suggested field trip fees range from $5.00 - $10.00 per student, depending upon number of participants and length of time on the farm.

As a nonprofit organization, these fees help us cover program materials and staffing.  That said, all are welcome at Koiner Farm regardless of ability to pay the suggested fee.   Those who can pay the full suggested fee, or more, help subsidize groups that may be unable to pay the entire amount. Your contribution to CKC Farming, no matter how big or small, is greatly appreciated!

Interested in a field trip?  Please contact us  and we will gladly help set up your visit!

Already have your field trip planned?  Please make sure that all participants submit their liability waiver in advance and click here to complete payment or bring a check on the day of your visit.

We do ask that all visitors to Koiner Farm wear closed-toe shoes, weather appropriate clothing and bring their own water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray or other outdoor supplies!

See you on the farm!
