Are you a high school or college student looking to get outside, learn a life skill, meet new friends, and give back to your community? Then apply for an Urban Farmer Internship at Koiner Farm or Loeiderman Farm today. Both farms are easily accessible by public transportation and staffed by knowledgeable, professional farmers.

Interns can receive up to 48 Student Service Learning (SSL) hours per 12-week internship or one Montgomery College course credit per 12-week internship.

For a paid internship, please apply to the Montgomery County Department of Recreation's TeenWorks Employment Program and select Loiederman Farm or Koiner Farm as your work site.

Each internship session is 12 weeks. Interns work two 2-hour shifts per week. Interns are welcome to do more than one internship session. As matter of fact, most interns return season after season, and take on more-and-more responsibilities as their farm skills advance.
