Our Fall 2020 internships are now full.  CKC's 2021 internships will commence in March.

Until then, join us for our Fall 2020 Volunteer Day on Sunday, November 8th and join our mailing list.

CKC's Internships are designed for high school and college students with an interest in urban agriculture.  Students who complete a CKC Internship are eligible for Student Service Learning (SSL) hours, college credit, or a small stipend (please note, the stipend is reserved for second term interns).  Our Interns give back to their community, learn a life skill, get outside, work with their hands, work alongside people with diverse backgrounds, contribute to their local food system and help support a small nonprofit.

Each internship session is 12 weeks.  Interns are expected to dedicate 4 hours per week for the entire 12 weeks.  Many interns stay on for more than 12 weeks.

  • Spring 2020 internship runs Mar 16 - Jun 5, 2020

  • Summer 2020 internship runs Jun 8 - Aug 21, 2020

  • Fall 2020 internship runs Sep 7 - Dec 1, 2020

At the end of your internship, you will know how to compost using a 3-bin system, start and care for seedlings, operate a drip irrigation system, package CSA baskets, transport produce to market, identify and know how to treat certain pests, and much more.

If this sounds like the opportunity that you are looking for, please submit an application by following the link below.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us or consult our FAQs for CKC Interns and Volunteers
