"I support CKC Farming because Koiner Farm helps my family think about food on a more personal level.  It feels like our choices around food really make a difference."

- Neighbor of Koiner Farm

By making a donation to the Charles Koiner Conservancy, you become part of an incredible group of sustainably-minded, equity-driven, urban farm supporters, collectively known as the Friends of the Farm.

Whether you are able to give $10 or $10,000, you are doing your part to support a more just, sustainable, and resilient food system right here in our local community.

Your financial contribution will:

  • Help build infrastructure at Koiner Farm so that we can grow more clean and nutritious produce.

  • Provide educational opportunities to local students, including internships for high school and college students to hands-on field trips for elementary and middle school classes.

  • Support efforts to identify and create more urban farms throughout our wider community.

Whether it makes sense for you to make a one-time donation or a sustaining donation, we are so incredibly appreciative of each and every one of our supporters.  Below are the giving levels and value-add of each level.

An annual Sprout Level donation will cover one 12-week stipend for a Koiner Farm Intern.

An annual Seed Level donation will cover the cost of materials for a class field trip of 24 students.

An annual Harvest Level donation will cover total cost of maintaining one row at Koiner Farm.

The Charles Koiner Conservancy for Urban Farming (EIN: 83-1145521) is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit.  All donations to CKC are tax deductible to the extent of the law.

Urban farms are not about how many you feed, but how you feed them.

Now, more than ever, the world need healthy, knowledgeable, caring individuals, armed with the experience and understanding to build a smart, equitable and sustainable food system.  Your donation to CKC will help endow the next generation of workers, voters, consumers, and innovators with the tools and knowledge they need to solve the agricultural challenges of tomorrow.

Urban farms connect us to our food, our land and our neighbors.

We believe that farms should be like parks... one in every neighborhood!

CKC is working to create a network of neighborhood farms that support a more equitable and sustainable local food system.  To do this, we need the support of our community. Sustaining donors are critical to any nonprofit, but particularly to a small conservancy, like CKC, which is committed to preserving and maintaining urban farms in perpetuity.

"Koiner Farm is my neighborhood farm." - Derrick, 9

We hope you will join the movement to build a stronger, more resilient local food system that feeds us all!

Here are some other ways to support our work:

  • Amazon Smile: Select CKC Farming as your Amazon Smile charity of choice.  You can find us by searching "CKC Farming" or entering our EIN (83-1145521) at www.smile.amazon.com.

  • Facebook Fundraiser: Launch a Facebook Fundraiser on behalf of CKC Farming.  We are a young organization and need help growing our social media presence.  Introducing CKC to your friends and family with a Facebook Fundraiser would make a big difference to our small organization.

  • GroupRaise: Invite your friends and family to a local GroupRaise registered restaurant and request that CKC Farming receive a percent of the restaurant's evening proceeds.  Contact kate@groupraise.org for details.

  • Corporate Giving: Introduce CKC Farming to your company's corporate giving program.  CKC offers a lot of highly visible sponsorship opportunities, plus an outdoor space for company volunteer days.

"Koiner Farm is really like a double blessing because I am able to come here and have my moment of peace, but I am also able to give back to my community and that makes me feel really good."  - Frieda, Farm Volunteer
